The abbreviation of China Compulsory Certification is CCC or 3C.
China's compulsory certification system came into effect on May 1, 2002. All products covered by the CCC must apply for the CCC mark before being exported to China and meet all mandatory Chinese standards. CCC is only required when the product involves commercial transactions and trade. The CCC process is not only suitable for imported products, but also for domestic products mentioned in the "China Compulsory Certification Product Catalog". Products subject to CCC cover 140 sub-categories, divided into 17 categories, including home appliances, automobiles, motorcycles, safety glasses, lighting products, IT/AV, telecommunications products, industrial components, toys, cables and wires, among others.
